One Noffs

No flukes, it’s all by design

One NoffsDo you find yourself lamenting your local op shop’s lack of unique clothing? Or perhaps you’re a budding fashion designer just itching to put your skills to good use? Lo and behold! The solution to both of these problems lies in a small boutique in Randwick.

So here’s the deal: You, seamstress extrodinaire and (future) famed fashion designer, head into the Ted Noffs Foundation HQ and pick yourself up a giant bag of second-hand clothing. Three weeks later you return with clothes customised by all your creative flair and the folk there will tag it with your bio and place it on the racks at the One Noffs store a couple of doors down. If it sells, proceeds will go to the Foundation while a portion is yours to keep.

So you get to put your designs out there with full recognition, support an incredible non-profit AND earn some cash. You can even arrange to use their sewing machines onsite!

If sartorial creation isn’t quite your thing, then perhaps sartorial acquisition is. In that case, One Noffs is well-worth dropping into. The shop is small but filled with excellent and incredibly well-priced second-hand pieces, customised or not. The staff are really sweet and the racks are dripping with brightly printed blouses, slouchy cardigans and cool men’s button-down shirts.

One Noffs is an ingenious concept created by Rupert Noffs, whose grandfather is the late, great Reverend Ted Noffs. The idea benefits everyone from the upstart designer, to the buyer, to the youth which the Foundation supports. Make your way to One Noffs and snap up everything you can, because things like this don’t come around twice.
