Zushi’s second restaurant opens in Surry Hills
Will the good fortune of Surry Hills’ residents ever abate? Each week it becomes home to yet another great new restaurant, bar or restaurant-slash-bar and this week is no exception with Zushi opening up in the iconic 285 Crown St development, between The Winery and Madam Char Char.
A twin sister to the Darlinghurst flagship restaurant, she is identical in every respect, from the delectable menu to the warm and friendly service, except that with almost double the capacity, Zushi Surry Hills has much more sushi love to give.
Indulge in signature inside-out rolls like the gyoza roll and spider roll, hot dishes like wagyu beef seared in nashi pear and apple soy sauce and exotic sake sangria with lychees and mint, or plum wine sangria with strawberries and green apples.
And you won’t be able to resist trying the strawberry tempura for dessert – giant strawberries, lightly fried in tempura batter and served with vanilla icecream and flakes of chocolate. Warning – don’t plan to share this one, it will lead to fights.
There’s no question the Surry Hills dining scene is crowded, but we think there’s just enough room for Zushi to fit in.
Zushi Surry Hills – 285A Crown St, Surry Hills
Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week (dinner only during opening week 18/10 – 24/10)
