Run, don’t waddle – Cotton Duck opens in Surry Hills

Cotton DuckAfter following the progress of renovations on Twitter for months, we’re very happy to report that Jared Ingersoll’s new eatery, Cotton Duck, has opened its doors.

Nestled in a renovated warehouse (which is also soon to house Vini winebar), you’ll love the “designer depot” vibe created by the polished concrete floors, exposed brick walls and recycled timber panelling juxtaposed against designer details and oh-so-trendy indoor green walls. The private dining room and ability to book (hurrah!) will be especially appreciated for those special occasions.

Choose either 2 or 4 courses from a menu featuring local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients, artfully prepared and beautifully presented. Like the terrine from house-cured spicy salmon layered with house-churned butter – yes, they churn their own butter – and rich, sticky mushroom vol au vent. And at 1/3 of the menu, you’ll be doing both Jared and yourself a disservice not to have dessert.

You can’t go past the edited cocktail menu featuring, housemade (noticing a theme?) mixers like lemonade and orange blossom, the boutique local wines or the home brew, Cotton Duck Ale.
