A New Favourite

Clipper Cafe

Clipper CafeIt’s not that this place is exactly new…it’s just that it’s Cherry Picked’s newest café crush.

On weekends, you’ll find us at Clipper Cafe in Glebe.

The place is always packed so be prepared to get cosy with your neighbours at the communal tables, or even better, pull up a milk crate outside and get your vitamin D fix while enjoying a home-blend coffee made from Colombian, Ethiopian and Indonesian beans.

The menu offers everything from Arabian-style Bircher Muesli with pistachios, poached fruit and cream to Eggy Crumpets with bacon & maple syrup.  But their specialty is the large variety of baked egg dishes including the ever popular Baked Eggs with napoli, lamb sausage, spinach & fetta with herb toast.

You’ll feel right at home in this neighbourhood favourite with inviting pistachio green doors & awnings, white washed walls with bicycles hanging from the ceilings and an ecclectic collection of bric-a-brac lining the bookshelves.

And if you’re still hungry afterwards, you can always sneak next door for a fix of mini pastries from La Banette, followed by a spot of shopping at the Glebe Markets just down the road.  It’s your perfect Saturday morning.
